L + K are from Northern California, but they went to school in San Diego and love it so much that they’re getting married there next year. We had so much fun running around one of my favorite North County beaches! It’s always a gamble, what the lighting will be, but we lucked out with a beautiful golden evening. I loved getting to know these two, who have been together forever, so it was such a joy to capture this moment of their lives–the one where they finally get to plan their wedding!

I was also reminded of why I love taking my wedding couple’s engagement photos. It’s really special to be able to hang out and get to know each other before your wedding, and it really helps me capture your photos in a way that reflects who you are. When I know how you operate, how you love, what’s important to you, my perspective and the way I photograph shift to match that.
